Sam McKinley is a successful cattle rancher who prides himself on being a stand-up gentleman and a hard worker. Regrettably, he’s never had much luck with love, which is why he sends out a listing for a mail-order bride. He’s always been an independent man without too many people to rely on, so he’s not sure how he’ll adjust to having not just another person in the house, but a wife, too! When Sam meets Erin though, they surprise each other by being respectful and not trying to push anything too quickly. Even though she is the prettiest woman he has ever seen, he cannot help but think that she’s still a total stranger to him. Understandably, his initial hesitation acts as the perfect safety net to avoid getting hurt. When she gives him a reason not to trust her, could he believe the woman who stole his heart against his own judgment?
The problem is, both Sam and Erin have secrets they’re hiding from the other. Why is Sam going into town on a moment’s notice and why is Erin secretly meeting a red-haired gentleman? As they begin to discover their secrets, will they be able to make their marriage work? When whispers of cattle thieves start growing around town, will suspicious and strange behaviors put an end to Sam and Erin’s story before it even started?

I was given the opportunity to read your book through another author recommendation. I really enjoyed it. As a Christian I enjoyed how you wrote in God like you did. I gave you 5 stars.
I am very much interested in your newsletter when you get one set up. Also, if you have a review team I am interested in that too. In fact, I can send you the link for my review on Amazon. Just let me know and I will get the link to you ASAP. I also reviewed it on Goodreads under Sharon Morris Marks.
God bless you,

Thank you so much, my dear Sharon! I deeply appreciate your support. I will let you know as soon as I set up a newsletter and ARC team. 🙂
I am reading A Bet on Love and Hope and had to send a message because something major is wrong. Every place you have written something about the sky or such it says Missouri sky or Missouri land, not Montana. I don’t know if was an error or if it is supposed to be set in Missouri not Montana. Help?
Hello Meri, you are absolutely right! I have corrected these instances, hopefully the new version of the manuscript will be up by now. I’m so sorry about this, I hope you enjoyed the story apart from the mistake!
I’ve read a few of your books and they are good. In each one of them you use the term, “God helps those who help themselves” several times throughout the stories. Just wanted you to know that this term is not a scripture and isn’t mentioned in the Bible at all. The closest scripture to the saying is in James 2:14; “faith without works is dead.” ( works here mean corresponding actions). Just wanted to point this out since it’s heavily implied by the characters in your books who say God helps those who help themselves.
Thank you so much for your comment, my dear Marie! I deeply appreciate you taking the time to write this comment. I hope you have a great day!:)
